What a combination: yin yoga, acupuncture and shakuhachi

Well just last month, around the time of the full moon, I teamed up with my House of Prana Launceston yoga colleagues to create a blissful, restorative experience.

Our event started with a peaceful yin yoga session (with the lovely Laura McCaughey) and was followed by live shakuhachi flute played by the incredible musician, Yyan Ng, as I gave each person an individualised, mini acupuncture session focused on balance and ‘calming the shen/mind’.

I had done a little consult with the participants in advance of the session and each treatment included the traditional Chinese Medicine techniques of tongue and pulse diagnosis too to assess over all health balance.

The yoga combined with the shakuhachi and acupuncture turned out to be very relaxing and I have never seen some of the participants so calm.
