I do love a cup of tea. Especially good quality green tea (none of that supermarket stuff). And as an extra special treat I love the handwoven tea balls that burst into flower when immersed in hot water. A double happiness tea ball, like this one, has an extra blossom. They make lovely gifts and I was lucky to be the recipient of this one from a gorgeous friend.
“Meanwhile, let us have a cup of tea. The afternoon glow is brightening the bamboos, the fountains are bubbling with delight, the soughing of the pines is heard in our kettle. Let us dream of evanescence, and linger in the beautiful foolishness of things.” – Kakuzo Okakura, The Book of Tea (1906)
